The launch of the Asus ROG Phone 4 might be round the corner and promises to offer a long-lasting battery and faster processor to gamers

The ASUS ROG Phone series, over the years, has been a gamers’ favourite and while the ROG phone 3 has been performing quite well, the smartphone-maker has decided to spice up things a bit with the rumoured launch of the ROG phone 4 in just a few months from now.

Tuned for a faster gaming experience

If latest leaks are to be believed, the latest offering from the ROG Phone series will come with a Snapdragon 888 processor and an 8GB RAM inside. This can be ascertained from the fact that the phone might come equipped with a chipset codenamed ‘Lahaina’ which might just be the latest Snapdragon 888 paired with an 8GB RAM. The phone will be powered by an octa-core processor with a base frequency of 1.8GHz

Aiding the case for faster gaming with a sharp user interface will be the latest version of Android 11 out-of-the-box, which will power the ROG Phone 4. As we inch closer to the official launch, Asus might announce more variants of this phone to cater to a wide spectrum of audience. The estimated price for this model is Rs 42, 990.

Devil in the details

The ROG Phone 3 comes with a 6.9-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and HDR 10 support. The front fascia of the device will come protected with a Gorilla Glass 6 and powering this gamers’ delight would be the Snapdragon 865+ chipset, Andreno 650 for graphics processing and up to 12GB of RAM.

A common complaint of gamers is the battery life of a touted gaming smartphone, which, in its bid to tick any other boxes along with gaming, loses out on the quintessential time factor that is most crucial to gamers. To address this concern, Asus will most likely power the ROG Phone 4 with a heavy-duty 6000 mAh battery and it will support 30W fast charging.
