ESL Gets Norton Onboard as Its Official Cyber Safety Partner

Ace Tournament organizer ESL Gaming has collaborated with renowned cybersecurity software company Norton. The latter would be its official cyber safety partner for StarCraft II and Warcraft III’s ESL Pro Tour. Post tie-up, Norton will take care of ESL’s cyber security on different fronts such as brand integrations, custom streams via Norton Gaming’s Twitch channel, and special giveaways during social media broadcasts.

The collaboration will address cyber security concerns of ESL Gaming for the remaining matches to be played in 2021. Norton will also cover ESL’s DreamHack SC2 Masters Winter 2021 and DreamHack WC3 Championship 2021.

The company has issued a press release to announce the partnership.  Shaun Clark, Director of ESL Pro Tour at ESL Gaming confirmed the news by saying the following:

“We are thrilled to welcome Norton Gaming to the ESL family. Working together with a brand that is already a fan of the games, their communities and our tournaments is perfect.

The press release further states:

“We’ve already seen the positive reactions as viewers welcomed Norton Gaming during our latest tournaments and we couldn’t be happier to be partnered for the rest of the year.”

If the sources are to be believed, the ESL-Norton partnership will provide a cyber-safe gaming ecosystem to casual gamers, esports fans, and professional players globally. It will build a completely safe gaming environment for players while games are being played online.

With the partnership, the ESL is all set to reconsider the importance of cybersecurity during the tournaments and take the digital safety of gamers to a whole new level. Norton™ 360 is aimed at offering highly optimized device performance and multiple levels of security, both in and out of the server.

This isn’t the first time ESL went into a joint partnership. Throughout 2021, ESL Gaming has signed several agreements including one with Israeli mobile video game developer Plarium and another with cryptocurrency giant Coinbase.
