FAU-G release date announced, trailer video released

The release date of the much-awaited FAU-G has been revealed and a trailer video is out to create further buzz among anticipating gamers.

nCore Games has finally announced the release date of the much-anticipated First Person Shooter (FPS) game: FAU-G. The Made-in-India game will be launched on the 26th of January on Republic Day and to commemorate the launch, a video trailer has also been released, which gives a glimpse of the infamous Galwan valley tryst between Indian and Chinese forces. The launch news and the theatrical video were showcased on the official Twitter page of nCore Games.

Game highlights

FAU-G, which focuses on the Indian army, was scheduled to release in October last year, but got delayed. However, pre-registrations were opened on 30th November and the developer claims to have achieved one million pre-registrations in a matter of three days. Touted as an alternative to the now-banned PUBG in India, FAU-G will have a third-person mode, which was an available mode on PUBG. Similarly, FAU-G will have a first-person mode as one of the modes on offer.

Another key differentiator between both games is that PUBG Mobile had a battle royale mode, where player squadrons battle it out with each other and the last man or team standing is the winner. On the contrary, FAU-G will have gamers take on insurgents directly, thereby not complying with the battle royale mode. However, nCore has hinted at introducing this mode in the future.

FAU-G will, in all probability, feature a co-operational format, where gamers would combat AI enemies. This was a characteristic not present in PUBG Mobile. Also, PUBG was a player-vs-player game, whereas FAU-G will not have this arrangement, as it’s co-operational. nCore says that this format has been popular for the past few years, hence it has been opted for.

Registration method

Users can pre-register for the game on Google Play Store to receive the game as soon as it is released on Republic Day. The high pre-registration number might be a positive pre-cursor for what’s in store for this indigenously developed game and in a couple of weeks, players would be better positioned to understand all the nuances of the game.
