FIFA Interactive World Cup Begins With A Bash

The most awaited gaming event the FIFA Interactive World Cup Flagged off on October 1. The FIWC is the most popular and biggest gaming tournament, where gamers all across the world come to participate. They infuse their best gaming instinct to conquer the winning amount that’s whopping $20,000 USD. Winners of the tournament get the opportunity to attend the FIFA Ballon d’Or event and be crowned the best EA SPORTS™ FIFA player on the planet. This time, participation is open to both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Entry to the game is simple. All you need to have EA Account and access to a copy of FIFA 16 for Xbox One or PlayStation 4. Upon booting up the game, go the Online menu tab and select the FIWC icon. Once you’ve completed the in-game registration and accepted the game terms & conditions, you’re ready to bang. Make sure that the e-mail you’ve provided is active and nationality you’ve mentioned matches your passport.

Now, you can start playing in quick ranked matches to qualify for the Grand Final, being held in New York City. This session, the tournament will have three monthly sessions. Each session will start at the beginning of October, November and December. During each session, participants will be able to play up to 90 matches to improve their existing ranking. At the end of each month, five players from both consoles will earn a spot to the Grand Final. Qualification distribution is as follows:

  • Europe: First-place and runner-up
  • North, Central America, and the Caribbean: First-place
  • South America: First Place
  • Africa, Asia and Oceania: First Place

A total of 30 players, 15 players from each console will make to the FIWC grand finale over the next three months. A total of 30 participants will be there in grand final including last year’s winner who automatically makes to the qualification. The last spot in the tournament will come from the winner of the host country live qualification. The live qualification event will be held exclusively on Xbox One with event details and timing announced at a later date.
