Epic Games has launched Fortnite‘s first spring event today: the Spring Breakout. This event will bring back the Egg Launcher, along with the introduction of new quests, outfits and fan-favourite papercraft.

About Spring Breakout in Fortnite

With this event, Fortnite is bringing back the Egg Launcher, and with it the island gets a new kind of forgeable egg. A Spring Breakout player will be able to make his character hop like a rabbit after consuming the egg.

On April 2nd, the Spring Breakout Cup is set to replace the Friday Night Bragging Rights as a Duos competition. After this rejig, Duos will have three hours to complete up to 10 matches to earn points.

Duos who attain top slots in each server region will be the first ones to receive the Webster outfit. They will also gain access to the Mecha-Feathers back bling.

Interested gamers will need to have a 30 or above account level, and their Two Factor Authentication, or 2FA enabled. Spring Breakout players can enable their 2FA by visiting the 2FA page, logging in to their Epic account and follow the mentioned steps.

What’s new in Spring Breakout?

Fortnite will be filling its Item Shop with ducks and bunnies during the Spring Breakout event. They will also add new outfits like Webster. Some fan-favourites, such as the Bunny Brawler, the Rabbit Raider and Quackling, will be coming back.

Fans of Fortnite and cosplay get to download new papercraft masks and mini foldables. These masks include Stella, Rabbit Raider and Webster. The mini foldables on offer are Bun Bun, Nitehare and Cluck.

Epic believes that gamers might require varied time durations to master these items, but not exceeding 2.5 hours each. The Spring Breakout event is sure to test players’ capabilities in terms of speed, agility and response time. After all, the rewards are all quite lucrative!
