Xbox gets new game passes for 2021, including Injustice 2, PES 2021 Season Update, Torchlight III among others
Microsoft has announced that many new games are coming to its Xbox Game Pass this month. Declared via an official statement, this includes the likes of eFootball PES 2021, Injustice 2 and What Remains of Edith Finch.
The first round of games will be added to the service on January 7th, with eFootball PES 2021 Season Update, Injustice 2, and The Little Acre. Both The Little Acre, an ID@Xbox game, and eFootball PES 2021 Season Update will be playable on Android and console, while Injustice 2 adds Windows PC to that platform lineup.
Neoverse, Torchlight 3, What Remains of Edith Finch, and YIIK: A Postmodern RPG will all be added on January 14, with each of the ID@Xbox games available on Windows PC — except for Torchlight 3, which is available on Windows PC and Android. With new games added to the service, others will have to exit. By mid January, Microsoft will remove FTL: Faster Than Light, My Friend Pedro, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, and Tekken 7 from the platform.
In December last year, Microsoft announced that The Yakuza Remastered Collection, which includes Yakuza 3, 4, and 5, will be added to Xbox Game Pass on January 28 and individual games will also be available for grabs. At that same time, Microsoft announced that The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition would be available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers, too — though it’s been there since December 15.
Microsoft is running a deal where customers can purchase Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $1 per month, for three months. This will be available until January 25th, as per a Microsoft statement. After those three months, the service will cost $14.99 per month for Game Pass Ultimate, which allows players access to games on Android, consoles, and mobile devices. People who want access only to Windows PC or only console can purchase those subscriptions separately, by paying $9.99 a month.
