PUBG Corp’s parent company Krafton Inc has appointed Aneesh Aravind as the India Country Head. Aravind has been roped in by Krafton to supervise the company’s India operations. He has had a long stint with Tencent prior to taking up his new role in PUBG Corp. Also in an important development post the appointment of its new India head, PUBG Corp. officially registered its Indian subsidiary under the name of PUBG India Pvt. Ltd.
These developments will surely come as positive news for PUBG lovers, who have been waiting with baited breath for the relaunch of one of India’s most sought-after games. However, the MeitY is yet to grant an official nod to the company for its relaunch and no formal date has been announced as to when PUBG will kick start operations again.
Readers will recall that Krafton had earlier pledged a massive investment of $100 million in India to develop the entire PUBG Mobile ecosystem, and the aforementioned steps seem to be the first among many to come in this direction. While the fate of PUBG Mobile in India still hangs in uncertainty, it must be acknowledged that the developer’s commitment towards the Indian market cannot be denied and despite the ongoing tussle with the authorities, PUBG Corp seems determined to bounce back stronger.
