Pre-registrations for Battlegrounds Mobile India to open on May 18

Battlegrounds Mobile India fans can now go for pre-registration of the game starting May 18. As of now, it is open for Android users only

South Korean video game giant Krafton has announced the date for pre-registrations of its much-awaited game: Battlegrounds Mobile India. Essentially a replacement for PUBG Mobile, fans can register in advance for the game tomorrow, May 18.

Battlegrounds Mobile India registration details

The original game was banned in India last September along with a number of other Chinese apps.

Pre-registrations for the game will go live on the Google Play Store.

As of now, there is no information about the exact release date of the game. However, it will likely be soon after the pre-registration link is live. Also, iOS users will have to wait a little longer for the game, as Krafton has not announced its plans for Apple customers.

In an official statement, the company said it will have “specific rewards available for fans to claim, only if they pre-register the game.” These rewards would be specific to Indian players only.

How to register for Battlegrounds Mobile India on Android

In order to pre-register users will have to go to Google Play Store, and click on the “Pre-Register” button. The rewards will automatically be available to claim on game launch. The game will be free to play for all users with in-app purchases, as was previously seen in PUBG Mobile.

A case in point here is that gamers under the age of 18 can only access the game for a maximum time limit of three hours every day. The developer further plans to restrict their spending limits.

Earlier there were reports of teens spending lakhs of rupees on the game for in-app purchases. Now, it will be limited to Rs 7,000 per day for under 18 players. These will be for the in-app purchases.
