Riot Games teases Valorant New Agent 14

Riot games has come up with a year-end update from the Valorant developers to help the users, fans and professionals have a better understanding of the process of introducing a new agent along with many more updates. The latest Valorant developers update reel appears to have leaked the first look of the new duelist, which is scheduled to be released with the next major patch and was envisaged for a long time.

While the complete details of the agent have not been officially revealed by Riot as of yet, plenty of leaks have surfaced over the last few months for us to have an idea of what the next agent will be like.

Going by the first visuals, the agent seems to resemble Phoenix to an extent. However, his hair and the part of silhouette shown is blue in colour, which could hint at it having some abilities that are inversely related to Phoenix, what with the already released agent resembling abilities charged by fire. The new Valorant agent shatter is rumoured to be the fifth duelist and could very well have some sort of connection to Phoenix in terms of lore or ability usage.

The 14th Valorant agent has been confirmed to be a duelist alongside the likes of Jett or Phoenix. There are currently 4 types of Valorant agents – Duelists, Sentinels, Controllers, and Initiators. Duelists are generally self-sufficient fraggers who their team expects, through abilities and skills, to get high frags and seek out engagements. However, the next agent might be quite different from the other duelists in the game.

As per the official Valorant blog, a Duelist is being planned by the game’s authorities for all ‘lurkers’ out there, who are touted to keep players on their toes around which angles are truly safe. A ‘lurker’ can certainly spice the gameplay up in Valorant by forcing the player base to formulate new strategies and tactics to counter the 14th agent in the title.
