Riot to address running accuracy in Valorant patch 2.02 post user outcry

Developers at Valorant will rectify the recurring issues with the game’s running and gunning accuracy in the upcoming patch update 2.02

With the introduction of Valorant, Riot has surely tasted instant success. This tactical shooter game has caught the fancy of gamers worldwide due to its gripping gameplay, attractive skin options and regular patch updates.

Gunning precision in patch 2.02 of Valorant

One plaguing issue troubling players though has been the accuracy of weapons in the game, especially while running and firing.

This seems to be a recurring issue, with disappointed gamers taking to various social media platforms to vent their angst. Not one to let ardent gamers complain further, Riot Games has decided to address this oft-discussed glitch in the latest edition of AskValorant.

Many gamers were of the opinion that while Valorant rifles were relatively accurate during short distance running and shooting, much improvement was needed to meet up to the otherwise high standards set by the game.

Valorant developers nerf glitch in patch 2.02

Patch 2.02 of Valorant will witness the ill-performing mechanic being nerfed. While we are not sure of the extent to which this will be fixed, developers at Riot seem confident of player grievances being successfully addressed.

After all, Riot was certainly under pressure after the launch of the previous patch 2.01, which introduced changes to Split and nerfed Jett’s Cloudburst smokes. No mention or redressal of the gunning issue there.

Valorant assures gamers with patch 2.02

Commenting on this development, a Valorant developer said, “We have some changes planned for Patch 2.02 that should help address sentiment on running accuracy with rifles.” Riot also reassured gamers of being by their side and addressing issues as they crop up.

“Keep in mind, we’re making sure not to change too many systems at once to ensure that shooting doesn’t feel so dramatically different that you’ll have to relearn habits. As always, we’ll keep an eye on the change and will continue to adjust as necessary,” the developer concluded.
