In recent changes to market restrictions in CS:GO, Valve says that gamers will not be able to trade or market items purchased from the in-game store for one week
To keep fans constantly engaged, Valve has been releasing multiple important updates for CS:GO. A few days back, the developers had introduced much-anticipated changes to the VAC ban policy. These essentially concerned Valve-sponsored tournaments, like the CS:GO Majors and RMR events.
Today, Valve has once launched a significant update, with the introduction of more trade and market restriction to CS:GO. This change directly impacts the trading, buying, and selling of items between players, Steam Community Market, or third party websites.
Announcing the changes through their official blog earlier today, the developer has come forward to introduce multiple trades and market restrictions to CS:GO. The changes are as follows:
However, the Counter-Strike community does not seem to be happy with these changes. Many players have taken to the social media criticizing Valve for implementing an alternate solution to the server load problem. This issue earlier had resulted in a recent ‘CS:GO Market Sales and Item Trades’ service outage.
The update means that any item purchased from the CS:GO store and any ‘Operation Case’ that is purchased using the ‘Operation Rewards’, will not be tradable or marketable for at least 1 week. These also known as ‘Stars’ (that users can earn by completing weekly missions).
There is reason to worry for CS:GO fans here. There are items that users receive from containers that are not tradable or marketable (market-restricted containers). Players can still sell the immediately on the ‘Steam Community Market’ though still being non-tradable.
