Asus announces ROG Masters APAC 2021 esports Tournament

Asus will organize the ROG Masters APAC esports tournament in Asia in March & April this year and a prize pool of $32,000 is on offer

Asus has announced that it will host the ROG Masters Asia Pacific esports tournament from March to April 2021. The tournament returns after a hiatus of three years and the prize pool up for grabs is worth $32,000.

Asus ROG Masters APAC details

This is the first Asus ROG Masters tournament dedicated to the Asia Pacific region. Teams from across 15 countries will participate in this tournament.

They will battle it out through the national qualifiers in a bid to grab a spot at the finale event consisting of 16 teams.

Registrations for the ROG Masters APAC 2021 will start on February 8 and continue till 28 of this month. The country qualifiers matches for India will begin on April 8 and the finals will be held on the 10th of April.

Stages & prize pool breakup

  • The tournament will take place in three stages, which will include country qualifiers, country finals and Asia Pacific finals.
  • The final 3 qualified teams from India will stand to win $800 for first place, $400 for second place, $200 for a third-place.
  • The top 16 teams from this event will advance to the finals where they would be battling for a massive prize pool of $15,000.

Teams will split the amount allocated for the finals as below:

  • Champions: $10,000
  • Runner-ups: $3,500
  • Third place: $1,500

A virtual Asus ROG Masters APAC

The entire tournament will be a virtual affair due to COVID-19 induced safety restrictions in place. The live-streaming process will be facilitated using Asus ROG India’s Facebook page and YouTube channels.

Other participating countries had also followed a similar technique. The quarter-finals and final matches will be live-streamed for fans and gamers around the world to witness.
