Call Of Duty Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer Week flags off

Activision will be running a multiplayer event for Call Of Duty Black Ops Cold War, which will have free access, and this exciting journey starts today. Different multiplayer game modes of the latest version of the COD series are available for interested players and the free access is available for a limited time period only.

And the reason for commencing this event wasn’t difficult to fathom. Black Ops Cold War was witnessing lower than expected player participation for a significant amount of time and Activision decided to spruce up this lackluster response through a free access multiplayer event, which will not only boost brand value for the series, but also coax players into buying the game.

The idea to kick start this event was conceptualized soon after the first season update for the game was floated for gamers. This update introduced Black Ops Cold War players to new maps and fresh content while integrating game weapons and vehicles with Battle Royale Warzone.

The event will be split into two stages and is expected to run for seven days in total starting from December 17th going all the way up to December 24th. According to data available on the official Call of Duty Blog, the first stage will run from December 17 until December 21 and allow players free access to Team Deathmatch, Domination, and 2v2 Gunfight game modes. The first stage will also grant players with access to two featured playlists: Nuketown Holiday 24/7 and Raid the Mall.

The second stage will run from December 21 to December 24 and allow free access to all the content from the first stage along with the Prop Hunt, Combined Arms: Hardpoint, and Fireteam: Dirty Bomb game modes. Furthermore, from the first stage onwards, players will be able to earn double XP and double weapon bonuses on all operators. This will continue until the end of the first stage and will be replaced by a double battle pass XP event until the end of the second stage.
