Fortnite kicks off Wild Weeks with Fighting Fire with Fire

The Fortnite Wild Week has returned with the ‘Fighting Fire with Fire’ theme, and players can get their hands on the iconic Flair Gun exclusively for this week

Fortnite has announced ‘Wild Weeks’. It’s a new weekly event focusing on unique gameplay dynamics for the remainder of Season 6. This week’s challenge is ‘fight fire with fire’ as various flame weapons are visible.

Wild Weeks in Fortnite

The Fortnite Wild Weeks commenced on May 6. This event will continue for the entire length of Chapter 2 Season 6. Each week players will notice a shift in loot pool and an emphasis on different gameplay mechanics. These changes will last for one week before moving to the next Wild Week.

Fortnite’s first Wild Week focuses on weapons that can set structures on fire. Players will find Flame Bows and Firefly jars more often when looting chests. Gas canisters and gas tanks will be found more often around the map. And the Flare Gun has returned for this week only.

Fight Fire with Fire in Wild Week

Players can notice that the weekly Legendary quests reflect the theme of the Wild Week. The challenges for the first ‘Week have players destroying hundreds of builds using flammable weaponry.

There are many Flame Bows available to players. So, this week’s challenges should not bother gamers much. Fireflies and Flame Bows will certainly heat up the action with their better availability. Not to forget, the Flare Gun from Chapter 2 Season 3 will resurrect in this event.

This week’s theme makes it easier for gamers to set enemy structures ablaze, considering this week’s Legendary Quest. Additionally, fire will deal more damage and spread faster than before.

Additional details

The next three Fortnite Wild Weeks are set to start on May 13, May 20 and June 3. With Season 6 set to end on June 7, players can expect to see a new Wild Week for the entire season.
