OG and EG secure TI8 Spots despite heavy Roster Change!

Roster change and staggering to meet up numbers before TI qualifiers, teams OG and EG have now secured their spots in The International 8via qualifiers from Europe and NA regions respectively.

The last-minute roster shuffle which showed “Fly” and “S4” moving out of OG and joining EG was a huge announcement before China Dota 2 SuperMajor which also signified their withdrawal from Dota Pro Circuit. While OG had its own problems, “Fear” and “Misery” were kicked out of EG roster lead due to their recent performance in DPC 2017-2018 later seasons.

“Fly” and “S4” left OG and joined EG completing their 5 man roster with “Arteezy”, “Suma1l”, and “Cr1t-“. The empty slots in OG had been filled with “Topson” and ex-roster player “Ana” who showed his mettle in season 2016-2017 majors throughout the Dota Circuit but got trodden down at TI7.

Current OG Roster:

  1. Ana
  2. Topson
  3. 7ckngMad
  4. JerAx
  5. N0tail

In the European Qualifiers, team OG secured top position in Phase-I round robin stage and further crushed Team Kinguin and Wind&Rain in the Phase-II securing their TI8 spot for the Europe region.

North America Qualifiers ended up with EG qualifying for TI8 as upper bracket winner and Optic Gaming as lower bracket winner.

With the end of qualifiers season, here are the Teams which you’ll be rooting for at The International 8.

Pro Circuit Invites:

  • Team Secret
  • Team Liquid
  • Virus.Pro

18 Teams will now be competing for the ultimate championship in season 2017-2018 and get hold onto the grand Aegis of Champions winning TI.

Will the event go by the popular myth of odd and even or will a team secure their second TI championship. This year’s International will be bound to attract a lot of audiences supporting their favorite teams and those from their regions.

PS: We won’t be seeing Na’Vi in TI for the second time.
