Krafton, the developers of the famous PUB-G, is all set to re-launch the game in India, albeit christening it as Battlegrounds Mobile India. Pre-registrations open soon
Fans of PUB-G in India might soon get a huge sigh of relief! Krafton, the South Korean developer of PUB-G Mobile, has announced the launch of Battlegrounds Mobile India.
A battle Royale-themed game, it is essentially a re-branded PUB-G Mobile, which will be for the Indian market only. Krafton has officially launched the logo on their YouTube channel.
Besides the announcement, Krafton released a new teaser/trailer of the game on the channel, which was trending for quite a while now.
Not wasting time, Krafton has announced that Battlegrounds Mobile India will be up for pre-registration before its launch in India. The pre-registration of the game will give players early access to the game ahead of the launch. This will however, be exclusive for Indian players.
A prerequisite here is that players below 18 years of age will face fresh restrictions in Battlegrounds Mobile India. These gamers will have to register with a phone number belonging to their parent or guardian.
To further streamline information regarding the game’s privacy policy and terms of service, Krafton has launched a website. While it is still under development, interested players will be surely furnished with more information in days to come.
The government of India had banned the global version of PUB-G Mobile India last year over issues of data privacy. These included allegations of sending the data of Indian players to servers overseas.
Battlegrounds Mobile India is set to fix these issues with the new game with a clear emphasis on privacy. There is currently no information from the ministry of Information and Broadcasting, regarding Krafton’s recent initiative.
“We will restore and process your personal information on servers located in India and Singapore. However, we may transfer your data to other countries and/or regions to operate the game service and/or to meet legal requirements,” the game’s new privacy policy stated.
