Valve cancels sales of The International 10 Tickets for 2021

The International 10 for 2021 will not have an in-person audience anymore! Valve has announced that it has decided to cancel the sale of tickets for the event. The company plans to refund all ticket sales for The International 2021.

The International 2021 Ticket Sales Canceled

The news comes at the back of rising COVID cases in Romania and the simultaneous introduction of new local restrictions in Bucharest. In an official statement, Valve has mentioned that the move is “to ensure the safety of all players, talent, and production staff participating in the event”.

The Dota 2 developer and TI10 organizer will begin the process of refunding all ticket sales soon. Airing its concern, Valve said, “We wanted nothing more than to welcome fans live to the event. However, we can no longer do so in a way that allows us to prioritize the health and well-being of both audience members and participants”.

It further added, “Those who purchased tickets will be issued a full refund automatically”.

The International 10 coming soon

The International 2021 will begin as planned on October 7, and Valve plans to have the best Dota teams in the world to the stage and “sharing the experience online with millions of fans around the world”.

The forthcoming annual The International event will entertain only players, talent and staff along with other necessary event managers, to be present at the venue.

Recently, all 10 members of Team Aster, along with multiple players from Invictus Gaming, tested positive for COVID-19. They had opted for self -quarantining measures at their hotels in Bucharest.
