Battlegrounds Mobile India crosses 50 Million Downloads: Fans rewarded

Battlegrounds Mobile India has crossed the coveted 50 million download mark and Krafton has announced new rewards and a fresh new skin for fans

The craze for Battlegrounds Mobile India simply ceases to fade as the game has now managed to garner another accolade. BGMI has crossed the iconic 50 million download mark and as promised, Krafton has a whole lot of goodies awaiting gamers.

Battlegrounds Mobile India: 50 Million and counting…

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) surpassed the 50 million download mark on the Google Play Store in India on August 14. This feat comes in less than two months of the rebranded PUBG game hitting our shores.

To celebrate the milestone, BGMI developer Krafton has gifted players the Galaxy Messenger Set permanent outfit. Also on offer are some more fun rewards.

On the occasion of Independence Day, Krafton ran the fun event Freedom Face-Off. It had a casual set of matches on its social channels involving partners who played against each other. Team Encore eventually manages to grab the top honours.

India-centric BGMI events

The success of BGMI, coupled with a rapidly rising download rate, has prompted Krafton to announce more India centric events. The Independence Day Mahotsav is currently live in-game. Fans can win exciting rewards, including an AWM (temporary) skin, till August 19.

Krafton announced the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series last month. This received an extremely positive response of 540,000 registrations till date with registrations still being open. The developer will release the stream schedule shortly after closure of registrations.

The Royal Pass Month 2 was launched for the second month last week with the theme “Project T”. It introduced fresh new outfits and rewards for Battlegrounds Mobile India fans.

Krafton has mentioned that the max RPM rank will remain at 50. Adding in a higher number of rewards for each tier, and challenge missions will last for only a month.
