Call of Duty Crashing on PC! How to Fix it in Quick Steps?

There have been multiple instances of crashes reported by Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War players.  The snags started appearing as soon as the latest patch was pushed to the live servers.

How to Fix Call of Duty Crashing on PC

The crash could be fixed by adding a patch. Besides this, there are certain tricks that players can follow themselves to remove such errors and crashes. The article covers some of the very handy tips and tricks to fix COD crashes on PC.

Check if the Fellow Players are also Facing the Trouble:

Instead of crashing directly into fixing the problem, reach out to the gaming community.  Enquire if other players are also experiencing frequent crashes. ESports community hubs and Reddit groups are the best places to discover if the issue is persistent.

If crashes are occurring to the many, there are good chances that the gamer developers could come up with a solution and a permanent fix for the problem.

Repair the game files or reinstall:

There are multiple reasons why games crash during gameplay. Corrupted in-game files are one of the reasons. Crashes caused by these corrupted or outdated files sometimes don’t throw error codes. To ascertain those files and their locations, you have to run a repair scan or reinstall CoD from scratch. If the crash is happened due to corrupt files, the process can detect it.

Check out your firewall and antivirus

Antivirus software and malware are great protection against malware and Trojan attacks.  However, on occasions, they create false positives and cause fatal errors.  If you have noticed that your firewall or antivirus detects a game file during a patch by mistake, it can cause crashes. You can disable your antivirus and firewall altogether before installing patches.

Keep your drivers updated

Game developers tend to upgrade game features quite frequently with every release. One such latest feature added to CoD caused errors and interruptions to the game. You can update the driver to fix the update. After the update, go and check if it stops crashing.
