Call of Duty: Warzone’s latest patch brings in more weapon changes, DMR-14 nerfs and addresses a key infinite glitch
Raven Software has announced that a new game settings update for Call of Duty: Warzone, which features more weapon changes, including to the DMR, and is currently live. The updates include details of nerfs for the Mac-10, DMR 14, Type 63 and burst pistols. The update also includes a fix for the infinite Stim glitch in the game.
Aiding the ease of gamers is a fix to the prevalent infinite Stim glitch that allows players to gain infinite use of the strategic equipment Stim, which quickly regenerates health, merely by dropping their weapon while cooking a grenade. This simple activation process resulted in the glitch being easily repeatable, so anyone who wanted to could use it with no problem. With the new patch however, the glitch should not crop again as of now.
The patch also introduces another round of nerfs for some of the rifles that have been widely used in Warzone for the last several weeks. Yet again, the biggest target for nerfs was the DMR-14, which survived last week’s hits and managed to remain the best gun in the game without much trouble. In this patch, Raven took a heavier hand with the gun, reducing its damage by a large margin over longer ranges and making its recoil even more unforgiving.
The patch also received nerfs the Type 63, which received a few adjustments in last week’s update as well. The Type 63 is essentially the DMR-14’s younger version, so reductions were carried out to its damage at range, just to be sure that it couldn’t easily replace the other rifle in the meta.
