New Survival Limited-Time Outbreak Mode in CoD Black Ops Season 5

CoD Season 5 Reloaded will introduce the limited-time Outbreak mode: Survival for gamers to explore. Most hardcore zombie slayers are looking for a serious challenge to test their abilities in this new Outbreak Survival mode.

It will launch along with The Numbers Event. The Black Chest and Rampage Inducer are currently both set to test Requiem’s most elite Operators.

Survival mode in CoD Season 5

Survival is a limited-time Outbreak mode, which accentuates the survival horror aspect of the Zombies experience. It fundamentally changes Outbreak to make it a truly punishing-yet-rewarding challenge.

Operators will only bring in the Field Upgrade from their starting Loadout. Their primary weapon has been replaced with a single 1911 handgun.

Once boots hit the ground in a random Region, more modifiers become clear. The mode has disabled the mini-map and overhead map. There is no music on offer and the HUD displays minimal information.

CoD Season 5: Survival LTM

Whenever an Operator takes damage, there is no auto-regeneration to save them. Instead, they must find a brand-new item: Food to heal.

These Food items have four rarity levels:

  • Uncommon (e.g. Canned Corn) Heals 50 HP
  • Rare (e.g. Chocolate Chip Cookies) – Heals for 100 HP
  • Epic (e.g. Chicken Soup) – Heals for 150 HP
  • Legendary (e.g. an entire Pizza) – Heals for 200 HP AND heals 1 HP per second for 60 seconds

Other than these modifiers, the mission remains the same. Gamers need to survive the Outbreak Zone and complete the main Objective. They either need to Exfiltrate before the horde rips them limb-from-limb, or Warp to another region to continue the fight.
