New Maps, Snakebite Case, Chicken Models in CS:GO’s Patch Update

The new patch update to CS:GO will see Valve introducing a host of new features, including new maps, chicken models and a Snakebite case

Valve has doled out an update which brings in several changes to the CS:GO. On offer is a new ‘Snakebite’ case, along with new maps and upgraded chicken models for players. The size of the new update is 1 GB.

Snakebite Case in CS:GO update

The new Snakebite case in CS:GO excludes Train from the Active Duty map pool. However, players can still play the map in the upcoming European RMR Tournament.

The Snakebite Case features 17 community-designed weapon finishes and the Broken Fang Case set of gloves as rare special items.

New maps in CS:GO update

The new update moves Train to the Reserve pool. Also, Valve has added several new maps for scrimmage, casual, deathmatch and wingman mode.

  • Ancient has been added into the current competition map pool Active Duty Group and Train has been removed from Active Duty Group.
  • The game gets Grind and Mocha to official matchmaking in Scrimmage, Casual and Deathmatch game modes, replacing Apollo, Engage, and Anubis.
  • Valve has added Calavera and Pitstop to official matchmaking in Wingman game mode, replacing Elysion and Guard.

CS:GO update brings new Chicken Models

The view models of chickens have seemingly undergone a visual enhancement in this CS:GO Patch Update.

  • Chicken models have received a visual upgrade.
  • Fixed community maps whose textures would appear black as a result of previous security fixes.
  • The \ key can again be bound to commands. If you were using this key before, you will need to bind it again.
  • Additional security and stability improvements.
  • Added an option for large community maps to fade the Boost Player Contrast feature beyond the far-Z fog plane by setting fadeplayervisibilityfarz to ‘true’ in info_map_parameters.
