Metal Gear Solid V beats Avengers:Age of Ultron

According to Adobe Global Index’s new reports on gaming trends,

Metal Gear Solid V : The Phantom Pain made $179 million on its opening day which is the twice of the Avengers: Age Of Ultron’s Opening Day revenue that is $84 million Globally.

This is a bit indication that the gaming are coming out of the Hollywood shadow’s.

Thing are getting more interesting when the producing or making budget takes under consideration i.e, $80 million for MGS V and $250 million for Avengers.One thing which favour the MGS V is the Average Cost of the game is more than the average cost of the movie ticket.

But this is not the record opening in gaming industry, the record is owned by everyone’s favourite GTA V whose opening day revenue was surprisingly $800 million globally.

“The gaming industry is lot bigger than the marketers realize” said by Tamara Gaffney, principal analyst and director at Adobe.
