Former CS:GO star haiVaan has joined the Valorant roster of GodLike and this move might reap rich dividends for the esports body
GodLike Esports seem to have strengthened their Valorant stable for this year by a significant margin as they have roped in Vishal’ haiVaan’ Sharma. The PUBG Mobile masters have managed to add the CS:GO stalwart to their roster: a move which is sure to cement their position as one of the top esports entities in India.
Announcing his exit from CS:GO in a tweet, haiVaan thanked CS:GO for all the things it has garnered for him and his career. While his tweet saw him deliver an emotional goodbye to his former brand, he did mention that it won’t be enough, as a mark of gratitude.
The gaming organization signed another prominent CS:GO talent Debanjan ‘Deathmaker’ Das from Global Esports. haiVaan remains one of the most experienced CS:GO professionals in the nation, and along with the addition of Deathmaker, Godlike might just become a dominant Valorant side in India.
It was primarily during this time that GoldLike had a fairly successful run in the Valorant world. However, they could never attain as cult a status as the then dominant Team Mahi. But they will surely be looking to change that with their current talent pool.
haiVaan now comes in the place of Jigar ‘sMx’ Mehta, who plays the Sova main for GodLike, and has taken the decision to part ways with the organization, and haiVaan will be stepping in in his place. GodLike became a part of Valorant and created a roster in November 2020, when they signed up the whole of the FaR Esports crew after they won the 1 Play Esports Valorant Invitational.
A few days ago, the former OpTic Gaming pro hung up his boots with Valve’s shooter. Though a move to Valorant was something many in the Indian community predicted, what came as a surprise was his induction in the GodLike fraternity.
