The Valorant patch 2.02 update now gets a more effective rank rating convergence, while making it difficult to shoot better while running
Valorant has launched its 2.02 patch update with enhanced shooting accuracy and competitive system changes being carried out. The latter is aimed at getting a player to his/her proper rank faster and to stabilize the battle for the top spot.
There has been a lot of hue and cry among gamers about their inability to shoot precisely while running in Valorant. The developers seem to have addressed this anomaly to some extent by increasing the error quotient of all rifles while moving and shooting.
Patch 2.02 arrives today with running accuracy changes for rifles, Competitive system shifts, and needed bug fixes.

The sensation of running kills with rifles should be resolved with this move. While these tweaks should make kills while moving with rifles a challenge, Riot Games has promised to monitor this closely and will continue to fine-tune as necessary. Players however, will get better accuracy while shooting from a close range.
Players iron through Diamond who perform exceptionally well in a match. They will gain bonus Rank Rating weighed against their own average performance.
Riot has capped off Diamond 3 at two players with a pre-destined size. This move is expected to gear up players for Immortal, where they will be greeted by the leaderboard and will have to create a 5-stack buffer.
The Rank Rating Convergence has witnessed an increase in its effectiveness to allow players to converge quicker to their MMR. Players will thus require fewer games to justify their ranks and they will reach their deserving ranks in fewer matches.
This is essentially to reward players who perform exceptionally well in matches and ‘pop-off’. Valorant wants to reward players without them comparing themselves with their teammates.
Currently, the matchmaker knows how well a player should perform whenever it puts him in a match. When he goes above that expectation or above his average, he earns extra RR.
A rate limiter has been added to the in-game weapon store to stop players from spamming purchases in quick succession. This had caused a potential performance issue in the past. The developer has tightened the rate limiting in the deathmatch but remains lenient in most other modes.
