The revised Dota 2 Pro Circuit app will now display a tournament section providing detailed schedules for upcoming games across leagues

Valve has released a host of details for watching all its exciting matches in the Dota 2 Pro circuit for its 2021 edition. This includes an entirely fresh and revamped app with an enhanced in-client watching experience, which gives fans new ways to enjoy the competitive scene without having to waste precious time in finding all the streams.

Improved app features

The changes that await gamers would be a new ‘watch’ tab that will now be displaying a complete schedule for each DPC region. Also on display would be details of the matches timings and where can they be viewed. The standings tab gives a comprehensive look at the standings in each region, with the ability to toggle between the upper and lower divisions.

Players can also select specific leagues or teams to follow if they want to customize their experience. Similarly, a live update is available for the DPC app on both iOS and Android. This revamp has improved the app and has similar features to the in-game client overhaul.

Wider scope for players

In another welcome move, Valve has opened the door for all Dota 2 players to use the Dota Pro Circuit app. The app was previously exclusive to Dota Plus subscribers and was one of the primary selling points of that service.

There is a newly added section that includes the standings for each region, showing the win-loss record for each team in both divisions. Finally, there is a “tournament” section that includes the full schedule of upcoming games for each league.

Valve will also be providing regular reminders to players that they will soon be able to support and encourage their favorite teams with in-game content. Custom team packages including in-game effects, sprays, emotes, loading screens and chat-wheel lines from the most favoured teams and players will also be made live soon.

It has been learnt that the various teams have themselves submitted these ideas to Valve, so each piece of content should be unique depending on which content pack a player buys.
