Gamer Batmon recently sold his AK-47 Case Hardened skin with StatTrak technology for a whopping $150K
The Most Expensive CSGO skin ever sold in the history of Counter Strike Global Offensive is the AK-47 Case Hardened skin with the StatTrak technology. Bearing 4x Titan Holo stickers from the Katowice 2014 collection on the skin with a minimal wear texture, the weapon was bought for a staggering price of $150,000 on Steam.
A gamer by the name of Batmon, the friend of a popular CS:GO skin trader ROFL, was the previous owner of this skin and he recently decided to sell it along with several other ornamental items from his CS:GO collection. ROFL is now helping Batmon with the sales by tweeting Google Doc spreadsheet with the weapon skin specifications and prices.
While this amount might seem stratospherically high, it is actually a good investment since there is no other version of it that is exactly like this one. The Ak-47 Case Hardened skin was added to counter-strike as a part of the first-ever weapon case and was a part of the Arms Deal Collection.
The skin has a fascinating pattern design with a blue hue on it. It can be ascertained that most players earnestly liked the blue glow emitted by the gun in the process and might have increased in value of the skin.
The previous record for the most expensive CSGO skin was held by StatTrak M4A4 Howl with 4 iBUYPOWER Katowice 2014 stickers. These reportedly sold for a jaw-dropping $100,000, thereby setting the tone for high-value skin trading.
Post the Arms Deal update received by the game in 2013, CS:GO skins have been an integral part of gamers’ requirement and collection. And this purchase surely seals the belief that interesting skins will continue to be in demand among players.
