Wild Rift will be launching its patch 2.3 updates and there are several surprises waiting for fans of the game. Mike “RogueFool” Breese, a co-developer of Wild Rift has introduced a few details about the upcoming patch 2.3 rune update.
The rune system exists for players to customize their champion or play style before the game starts and to adapt to the early game. Conversely, items are a way to adapt and evolve over the course of the game.
Patch 2.3 brings rune updates to provide more choice and variety in your pre-game setups.

Here are some of Riot’s high-level goals that guided them to the changes carried out:
Keystone runes, the primary rune type that shapes player playstyle, have largely been doing a good job. Riot thinks each class of champion should have 2-3 reasonable options when it comes to what keystones make sense for them. Ideally, each champion should have reasonable options as well.
These runes, aimed at increasing damage output, have done a good job of catering to their unique situations. Wild Rift is not making any large adjustments here. Gamers will see some small balance tweaks for those that are standing out as too strong or too weak.
